Safety concerns rise as Telangana roads see 20 deaths a day

Telangana’s road safety is deteriorating, with accidents surging 20% in two years, claiming nearly 20 lives daily. While improved reporting contributes, overspeeding, wrong-side driving, and drunk driving are major culprits. Districts like Warangal and Nalgonda lead in fatalities, with Cyberabad and Rachakonda registering the most fatal incidents, often linked to highway networks and pedestrian dangers.
