Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board will now procure treated wastewater from gated communities for ₹50-₹100 per tanker. This initiative aims to repurpose nearly 200 MLD of treated water, currently discharged into water bodies, for non-potable uses like construction and landscaping. A ‘Dial Your Tanker’ service will be introduced using red-coloured tankers for this recycled water.
