Back in 2010, Shakira’s hit track Waka Waka dominated the airwaves during the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, quickly going on to become one of the most adored World Cup songs of all time.
Sixteen years later, the Colombian pop star is set to repeat the feat, announcing the launch of the 2026 FIFA World Cup’s title track, Dai Dai, which will be out on May 14.
Shakira, 49, made the announcement via an Instagram video on Thursday, sharing a 30-second teaser of the new song, which is shot at Brazil’s Maracana Stadium. The post received a whopping two million likes. The World Cup kicks off on June 11.
