India’s sporting icons pen wishes for their beloved mums on Mother’s Day

On the occasion of Mother’s Day on Sunday, many of India’s sportspersons took to social media to showcase their love for their respective mothers with pictures and heartfelt messages.
Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, 53, posted a picture of his wife Anjali, mother Rajni on his Instagram, where he has 51.2 million followers. He captioned the post: “Change is the only constant in this world, except a mother’s love for you. Happy Mother’s Day.” The post received over two lakh ‘likes’.
Former India batter Shikhar Dhawan, 40, shared pictures with his mother Sunaina to his 20.1 million followers on Instagram, with the caption: “Aapki chai kamaal hai mummy. Love you and Happy Mother’s Day.”
Meanwhile, double Olympic bronze medal-winning shooter Manu Bhaker, 24, uploaded a video appreciating her mother Sumedha’s admirable qualities on Instagram, where she has 1.4 million followers.
“She feeds me, makes sure I am strong for my training. No matter how late I get from training, she waits for me with a huge smile on her face. Happy Mother’s Day,” Bhaker captioned her post.
