BJYM president Tejasvi Surya was detained during protests against proposed Namma Metro fare hikes in Bengaluru. Surya accused the Karnataka government of suppressing dissent and questioned Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s stance on fare authority, while the Congress government blamed the BJP and Centre for the increase.
