Bike taxi battle in Karnataka: HC clarification spurs Uber, Ola to suspend operations; Rapido launches ‘Bike Direct’ to bypass ban
Following the Karnataka High Court’s ruling on bike taxi aggregators, Uber and Ola suspended their bike taxi services. Rapido introduced ‘Rapido Bike Direct’ to connect captains and customers. The transport department is planning to file a contempt petition against the aggregators for allegedly violating court orders, escalating the ongoing dispute.
