BSNL launches affordable plan for senior citizens:Unlimited free calling with 365 days validity 2GD daily data, the plan is priced at ₹1,812
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched an affordable annual plan for senior citizens. The government telecom company has priced this new prepaid plan at ₹1,812. The company has named it BSNL Samman Plan. This plan can be recharged by mobile users above 60 years of age. According to BSNL’s website, this plan is offered with 365-day validity. Users will get 2GB internet data daily. Even after the daily 2GB data is exhausted, you can continue using internet at 40kbps speed. However, BSNL provides 4G internet data, while other companies are offering 5G data. Additionally, unlimited free calling and 100 SMS per day will also be included. This BSNL plan of ₹1,812 will also come with a free SIM card from the company. Also, if the SIM buyer is over 60 years old, the company will give them 6 6-month of BiTV subscription for free. BSNL Samman plan has been introduced for a limited time. This 365-day mobile plan can currently be purchased only till 18 November. On completing 25 years of BSNL, the company has recently launched BSNL 4G service in India. While rolling out BSNL 4G service across the country and issuing 92,600 new mobile towers, the company has already significantly reduced the problem of poor network and no signal. BSNL customers are continuously decreasing According to July 2025 figures from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), BSNL and MTNL are continuously losing subscribers. In July, BSNL lost 1.01 lakh customers, while MTNL also saw a decrease in subscribers. Now the market share of public sector telecom companies has fallen to less than 8%. According to the report, Jio added the highest number of new mobile customers at 4.83 lakh in July. Airtel added 4.64 lakh new mobile users in July. While Vodafone Idea has seen a decline in subscribers. Vodafone Idea (Vi) lost 3.59 lakh mobile customers in July.
