Elon Musk now plans to establish city on the Moon:Said, ‘It’s easy to reach there’; it will take more than 20 years to establish a city on Mars
SpaceX founder Elon Musk will now establish a city on the Moon. He has shifted his focus from Mars to the Moon. This is because sending humans here is easier compared to Mars. Musk shared this information on X on February 9. Mission remains the same – taking life to the stars Musk said – SpaceX has now focused on building a “self-growing city” on the Moon. This is because we can achieve it in less than 10 years, while building a city on Mars would take more than 20 years. The mission remains the same: taking consciousness and life to the stars. Mars travel is only possible when planets align every 26 months. It takes 6 months to get there. Whereas we can launch rockets to the Moon every 10 days. It takes only 2 days to reach there. SpaceX will make every effort to establish a city on Mars as well and will begin this in about 7 years. Currently, the biggest priority is securing humanity’s future. Mars is ‘Plan-B’ to save humans Musk has been saying that SpaceX’s main goal is to establish a settlement on Mars. This step is necessary to preserve human existence in case of any world-ending situation. In contrast, NASA has focused entirely on the Moon mission. NASA is working to send astronauts back to the lunar surface by 2028. This will be the first time humans will step on the Moon since the end of the Apollo program in 1972. Musk has criticized these efforts in the past. At the beginning of last year, he called NASA’s Moon program ‘Artemis’ a “distraction”. At that time, he wrote, “We are going straight to Mars. The moon is just a distraction.” Read also: NASA permits smartphones in space NASA’s Moon mission depends on Musk’s lander NASA’s moon mission will use SpaceX’s lunar lander. NASA has given SpaceX a $3 billion (approximately 27,000 crore rupees) contract to build it. Currently, it is in the testing phase and has experienced several explosions during various tests. The company may test its new prototype in March. Jeff Bezos’ company ‘Blue Origin’ is Musk’s main competitor in the race to build a similar lander.
