Farmer crossed over to Pak by mistake, jailed
Amritpal Singh, a 23-year-old Punjab farmer, has been sentenced by a Pakistani court in Chunian after inadvertently crossing into Pakistan. He received a one-month prison term for each of two offenses and a fine of Rs 50,000 for each. Failure to pay the fines will result in an additional 15 days of imprisonment per offense.
