Hackers steal Rs 42L from techie, demand ransom for a/c access in Hyderabad

A software professional in Hyderabad’s IT corridor fell victim to a sophisticated cyberattack, losing ₹42 lakh. Hackers gained control of his bank and US trading accounts, making unauthorized wire transfers and withdrawals. The victim’s WhatsApp account was also deleted, and new credit cards were applied for in his name, prompting a police investigation into the financial fraud.
