Instagram has started rolling out a much-requested feature: users can now edit their comments after posting them. This small but useful update fixes a long-standing problem many people faced while chatting on the platform. 15 Minutes to Correct Your Comment With the new feature, you get 15 minutes to edit a comment after posting it. During this time, you can make unlimited changes. Once the time is over, the comment becomes permanent unless you delete and post it again. The Edit option appears right below your comment, making it easy to access immediately after posting. Edited comments will show a label To keep things transparent, Instagram will add an “Edited” tag to any comment that has been changed. However, others won’t be able to see the older versions only the final edited comment will be visible. No more delete-and-repost hassle Earlier, fixing a typo meant deleting the entire comment and writing it again. Now, users especially creators and brands who reply frequently can quickly correct mistakes without interrupting conversations.
