Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have unveiled a new mural at Rash Behari Avenue in South Kolkata to celebrate the team`s deep-rooted bond with its fans.

A statement from KKR claims that the painting was inspired by the “Prothom Bhalobasha KKR” campaign, which centres the team`s relationship with the city around the feeling of first love. In a potent visual story, it unites KKR`s identity, its players, and the steadfast voice of its followers.

The renowned motto “Korbo, Lorbo, Jeetbo” is accompanied by strong, stylised images of players in KKR`s trademark purple and gold, signifying the team`s and the city`s fighting spirit.

The mural`s central Bengali line, “prthm bhaalobaasaa KKR” (Prothom Bhalobasha KKR), which translates to “KKR is the first love,” gives the piece a poignant, intensely intimate quality. The statement captures the essence of the campaign and reflects the team`s unmatched status in the hearts of its supporters.

The work aims to connect with the essence of the city by fusing strong cultural elements with modern street art aesthetics. The mural is more than just a striking sight; it is a public manifestation of fandom that embodies pride, passion, and a sense of community.

The painting, which is positioned strategically on Rash Behari Avenue, enables spectators and fans to interact with it, transforming a common urban area into a symbol of athletic passion. The KKR community`s voice is further amplified by encouraging supporters to come, engage with the artwork, and share their moments.

This initiative is part of KKR`s ongoing effort to bring fans closer to the team, extending the matchday experience beyond the stadium and into the everyday life of the city. By embedding its presence in Kolkata`s streets, KKR continues to celebrate the people who form the heartbeat of the franchise.
