J&K`S Pahalgam terror attack: Indian cricketers express grief

Amid the tensions surrounding the terror attack in Kashmir` Pahalgam, many Indian cricketers including KL Rahul and Shubman Gill have come out to express their grief about the incident. Even former cricketers Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Parthiv Patel and Anil Kumble have shared their sorrow, along with other Indians in the last few hours.

The reaction comes at a time when several tourists were injured in a terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.

Following the unfortunate incident, twenty civilians have been reportedly injured. Security forces and police personnel rushed to the site immediately after the attack. The incident took place when several tourists visited Kashmir. So far, the authorities have deployed a chopper into service to evacuate the injured, as per the reports.

Following the incident, the Indian cricket fraternity expressed grief by sharing their thoughts on official social media handles.

Team India`s premier batsman KL Rahul, too, shared his thoughts on the incident. “Heartbreaking to hear about the terrorist attack in Kashmir. My thoughts are with the families of the victims. Praying for peace and strength,” the 33-year-old wrote on his official social media handle.

“Heartbreaking to hear about the attack in Pahalgam. My prayers are with the victims and their families. Violence like this has no place in our country,” wrote India`s rising batting sensation Shubman Gill on X.

Former Team India all-rounder Suresh Raina said, “Heartbroken by the Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir today. I strongly condemn this cowardly act by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists. India stands united with our brave Army, J&K Police, and Paramilitary forces in the fight against terrorism. Justice will prevail”.

Former cricketer turned commentator, Harbhajan Singh said, “My heart goes out to family members of all those who lost their lives in dastardly attack. This can`t be forgiven”.

Former cricketers Parthiv Patel and Anil Kumble also opened up to share their sorrow about the Kashmir incident. Taking to X:
