Karnataka to roll out AI-based selfie attendance for staff from May 1
Karnataka government will replace its biometric attendance system with an AI and GIS-enabled platform starting May 1. This new system, called KAAMS, will be accessed via the ‘Kartavya’ mobile app. Employees will mark attendance by taking selfies. The move aims to boost accountability and simplify attendance logging for over five lakh government employees and 15 lakh contractual workers across departments.
