The long-awaited win marked a monumental moment in Kohli’s illustrious career. At 36, one of India’s most revered cricketers across all formats, Kohli sank to the ground in emotional disbelief as the final ball confirmed RCB’s maiden title. Moments later, he rose to be engulfed in tight hugs from his teammates, with fans erupting in the stands in sheer euphoria.

The celebration wasn’t just confined to the field. Kohli later shared a heartfelt moment with his wife, Anushka Sharma, before lifting the coveted IPL trophy in front of a sea of red-clad supporters who had waited nearly two decades for this day. Kohli also took to Instagram to pen an emotional post, reflecting on a season that finally ended both his and RCB’s long-standing title drought.

“This win is as much for the fans as it is for the team, it`s been 18 long years,” said Kohli at the post-match presentation. “I`ve given this team my youth, my prime, my experience. I gave it everything I have. I never thought this day would come. I was overcome with emotion as soon as the last ball was bowled. I have stayed loyal to this team, no matter what. My heart is with Bangalore, my soul is with Bangalore and this is the team I`ll play for till the last day I play the IPL.”
