Massive landslide buries Darfur village: Over 1,000 killed; only one survivor found

A devastating landslide in Sudan’s Darfur region has reportedly killed over 1,000 people in the village of Tarasin, according to the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army. With only one survivor found, the army-aligned governor of Darfur, Minni Minnawi, has appealed to international organizations for urgent assistance.
