Musk’s masterplan, freedom from work:Musk is working to create a world where billions of robots will solve every human problem
The world’s richest person Elon Musk is now writing a script for a future where the word ‘work’ could be removed from the dictionary. Musk’s new mantra is sustainable abundance. This is a blueprint for a world where robotic armies will fulfill every human need, money will become meaningless, and labor will cease to exist. In November, at Tesla’s shareholder meeting, Musk stood in front of a signboard and announced that we are moving in this direction through AI and robotics. His electric car company Tesla is now making humanoid robots like ‘Optimus’; ‘SpaceX’ is promoting orbital data centers. Regarding his AI startup xAI, he claims that it will solve almost all problems of humanity. Musk claims that this era will begin within 12 to 18 months, and there will be billions of robots that will fulfill every human need. Now this concept has become a mission for his business expansion. Tesla chairperson Robyn Denholm explained that Musk’s goal of sustainable abundance was the main reasoning behind that massive pay package, which could make him the world’s first trillionaire. Tesla wants to create a world where goods and services can be produced in abundance. It’s about increasing the productivity of economies. Critics of Musk’s dream say these robots and space data centers are far from reality, but Musk has certainly pushed the world into a debate where the meaning of work, money and existence is going to change. In the 1800s, Karl Marx dreamed of collective property and in 1930 economist John Maynard Keynes predicted that in the future humans would work only 15 hours per week. Musk’s friend and XPrize Foundation founder Peter Diamandis says that Musk’s goal is to create a ‘baseline’ for humanity. If a multi-trillionaire is living on Mars and the standard of living for 8 billion people on Earth is excellent, then there’s no problem. Critics argue that if the need to work ends, the structure of society will collapse. Alex Imas, a professor at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, questioned that Musk has not clarified how he will distribute the wealth created by this technology. Who will be the owner? If policies don’t change, we won’t be in heaven, but in a terrifying hell where demand will be completely destroyed.
