Neptune’s secretive auroras captured by Nasa’s James Webb Space Telescope | See

Astronomers, using the James Webb Space Telescope, captured the first direct images of Neptune’s auroras, revealing light shows previously believed to exist but unseen. These auroras appear at unusual mid-latitude positions due to Neptune’s unique magnetic field. The JWST also discovered significant cooling of Neptune’s upper atmosphere, offering insights into nearly invisible auroral emissions.
