Over 55k cases a year, yet no cancer registry in Telangana

Health experts urge Telangana to declare cancer a notifiable disease and establish a state registry, citing over 55,000 annual cases and a projected rise. The delay, attributed to legal technicalities, hinders early detection and accurate data collection, impacting prevention and survival rates across the state.
