Sooryavanshi departs after 31-run cameo; RR reach 97 runs after 10 overs

In the IPL 2026 match against Gujarat Titans (GT), Rajasthan Royals (RR) posted a total of 97 runs for the loss of one wicket in 10 overs.

Having opted to bat first, RR`s star opening batsman, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, provided a good start to the team. Sooryavanshi returned to the pavilion after scoring 31 runs in 18 balls, including five boundaries and a maximum.

Jaiswal and wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel are unbeaten at the crease. Facing 30 balls, Jaiswal has scored 47 runs, with the help of four boundaries and three maximums, whereas Jurel accumulated 11 runs after facing 12 deliveries, including a boundary.

GT`s stand-in skipper Rashid Khan has managed to pick up one wicket by leaking 17 runs in two overs. Mohammed Siraj, Kagiso Rabada, Ashok Sharma, and Prasidh Krishna continue the hunt for their first wicket.

Earlier, RR skipper Riyan Parag won the toss and elected to bat first at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

GT`s regular captain, Shubman Gill, will miss out on the clash due to muscle spasm, and stand-in captain Rashid Khan will lead the side tonight.

Rajasthan has made two changes where Donovan Ferreira will come in place of Ravi Bishnoi, and Tushar Deshpande will replace Brijesh Sharma.

IPL 2026, Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Capitals: Match summary

Earlier in the IPL 2026 match against Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC) emerged victorious by six wickets at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

DC`s Sameer Rizvi was named the “Player of the Match” for his match-winning knock of 90 runs. Coming in as an Impact Player, he garnered 90 runs in 51 balls, including seven boundaries and the same number of maximums.

The “Paltan” had scored 162 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Later, the Capitals successfully chased the target by scoring 164 runs for the loss of four wickets in 18.1 overs.
