Tainted bites, tiny penalties: Most food adulteration cases in Telangana go unpunished despite widespread contamination

Telangana faces a significant challenge with widespread food adulteration in eateries and food production units. Despite numerous inspections revealing contaminated ingredients, a surprisingly low percentage of offenders are penalized. Data indicates that only about one in three adulteration cases result in penalties, raising concerns about enforcement and food safety standards in the state.
