Tariff talks back on table? China says ‘evaluating’ US offer, ‘door open’

China says it is open to restarting trade talks with the United States, but made it clear that dialogue can only move forward if Washington cancels its steep unilateral tariffs. In a statement from the commerce ministry, Beijing insisted that words alone were not enough.
