The Sudanese hill that looks just like a pair of ‘lips’ — no one knows why

In 2012, a Google Earth satellite captured an image of a striking hill formation in Sudan resembling human lips, dubbed the “Landlocked Lips.” This unusual landmark, located in West Darfur, has sparked curiosity among researchers. Geologists suggest the formation may be an ancient dike, a resistant rock unit that erodes slower than its surroundings, creating the elevated ridge.
