Tokyo logs record 10 days of 35C or more
Tokyo experienced a record 10 consecutive days of temperatures 35C or above, the weather office said Wednesday, after the country sweltered through its hottest ever June and July. Japan this year had its hottest June and July since data collection began in 1898 and in August the country logged its highest temperature ever, with the mercury hitting 41.8C in the central city of Isesaki.
