Zero shadow day in Bengaluru on April 24; step outside at 12.17pm and see the sun do magic

Bengaluru is set to witness the ‘zero shadow’ phenomenon on April 24 at 12.17pm, as the sun aligns directly overhead, scientists from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) confirm. This event, where vertical objects appear shadowless, occurs in locations below the Tropic of Cancer. Bengaluru experiences this twice a year, around April 24-25 and again on August 18.
