105 Bangladeshis held in crackdown on illegal immigrants in Bengaluru
A police operation detained 105 Bangladeshi nationals in Bengaluru’s Whitefield and Electronics City areas. Authorities scrutinized identity documents of nearly three thousand individuals during the extensive drive. Many detainees worked in waste management and gig economy sectors, police reported. The operation followed a Karnataka High Court observation regarding a doctor’s report. Further investigations will examine how Aadhaar cards were issued to some detained migrants.
