A probe into a drugs scam has uncovered spurious medicines valued at Rs 12 crore. Eight individuals have been arrested, including kingpin Veeresh Kumar Jain, who sold fake drugs. Accused persons were reportedly selling fake drugs, often marked with Pfizer labels, since February 2025. Another suspect, R Prashanth, is held in Azerbaijan and a red-corner notice is being issued.
