Xiaomi 17T launched at starting price of ₹54,999:50MP Leica camera with 120x zoom 6500mAh large battery

Tech company Xiaomi has launched its new premium smartphone Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi FX Mini LED TV in India. The smartphone comes with a 50MP Leica camera with 120x zoom, 6500mAh battery, and flagship level features. The company has introduced this phone especially for users who want premium design, powerful performance, and high-end camera experience. Xiaomi 17T has been launched in two variants. The starting variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage is priced at ₹59,999, but with a ₹5,000 discount in the launch offer, it can be purchased for ₹54,999. In India, it will compete with smartphones like OnePlus 15R and Vivo V70. Meanwhile, Xiaomi FX Mini LED TV has been launched in 4 variants. Its starting price is set at ₹32,999. In the launch offer, it can currently be purchased for ₹29,999. The phone sale will start from June 10 and the TV sale from June 11. Xiaomi 17T: Design, Dimensions and In-Hand Feel Material and Texture: The phone’s back panel and side frame are made of premium finish plastic material, which feels exactly like glass when held in hand – very smooth. Its look is quite simple and minimalistic. Dimensions and Weight: The phone is just 8.17mm slim and weighs around 201.8 grams. However, due to the slim design and weight distribution, it feels quite light, small and compact in hand. The phone will be available in 3 color options – Violet, Blue and Black. Ports and Buttons: At the bottom of the phone, there is a speaker grille, USB Type-C port, microphone and a dual nano SIM tray. The left side of the phone is completely clean. On its right side, the power button is placed in a perfect position and just above it are the volume rocker buttons. The special thing is that there are no ports or visible holes on its top, but it supports IR blaster. Front Display and Safety: The bezels at the front are quite thin, which provides a good screen-to-body ratio. The selfie camera is centered with a punch-hole design. It has received a top rating of IP68 for protection against water and dust. Xiaomi 17T: Specifications and Features Display: The Xiaomi 17T features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a resolution of 2756 x 1268 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and 480Hz touch sampling rate. Its peak brightness is 3500 nits, meaning there will be no problem with visibility even in bright sunlight. For display protection, it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Additionally, it comes with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. Camera: For photography, this phone has a triple rear camera setup with optical lenses from camera company ‘Leica’. It includes a 50MP primary camera with OIS support (Light Fusion 800 sensor), a 50MP periscope telephoto camera, and a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera. The camera app comes with modes like Leica Authentic and Leica Vibrant along with 120x AI zoom support. For selfies, there is a 32MP front camera. Performance and Software: The smartphone runs on MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor built on 4nm architecture. It features Mali-G720 MC8 GPU for graphics and NPU 880 AI engine for AI tasks. The phone uses LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage technology. To prevent heating, it has Xiaomi’s 3D IceLoop cooling system. The phone runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 based on the latest Android 16, which includes several in-built AI features like AI Writing, Circle to Search, and Google Gemini support. Power Backup: The phone comes with a large 6500mAh silicon-carbon battery, which provides long playback time and backup. It supports 67W HyperCharge fast charging, 50W charging and 22.5W wired reverse charging. However, the company is not providing an adapter in the box, only a Type-A to Type-C cable will be included in the box. Connectivity Others: This phone has an in-display fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock. For audio, it gets dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. On the connectivity front, it is equipped with Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and eSIM support along with physical SIM. It does not have a traditional 3.5mm audio jack. This series comes with QD (Quantum Dot) Mini LED display technology for stunning picture quality and Fire TV integration for enhanced smart features. This series has been given a metal bezel-less design with black finish. Its screen-to-body ratio is quite high; 43-inch and 55-inch models get 97% and 65-inch and 75-inch models get 98% screen-to-body ratio. For connectivity, it has dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Apart from this, three HDMI ports (one with eARC support), two USB 2.0 ports, one Ethernet port, one AV input, one optical audio port, one headphone jack and antenna connectors are provided.
