1st hate-crime victim after 9/11: 25 years on, Balbir Singh Sodhi remembered

Leaders from diverse faiths and Palestinian-American activists gathered to remember Balbir Singh Sodhi. He was the first victim of a hate crime after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Sodhi, a Sikh-American gas station owner, was shot dead in Mesa, Arizona, in 2001. His family and community leaders honored his life and the subsequent hate crimes.
