Five stone implements were discovered near Banashankari in 2016. These objects resembled tools from the Palaeolithic Old Stone Age period. An archaeologist suggested these finds indicate human presence around four lakh years ago. However, another archaeologist questioned the interpretation of these stone objects. The discovery raises possibilities about Bengaluru’s deep prehistoric past.
