The Rajasthan Royals (RR) are set to lock horns with the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2026 match on Saturday at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Ahead of the match, Indian cricketer Aditya Tare heaped praise on RR`s swashbuckling batsman Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who has been smashing the world`s top bowlers in the ongoing edition of the cash-rich league.
Tare said that the left-handed batsman doesn`t let the pressure build on himself. He is also hopeful that Sooryavanshi will continue to enjoy his rich vein of form and has labelled him as a “phenomenal” player to watch out for during the powerplay.
“Vaibhav Sooryavanshi`s batting approach is high-risk, especially in the powerplay. He will sometimes get out going for big shots but that`s his natural game. He doesn`t let pressure build. He attacks from the very first ball. That`s what makes him who he is. He scored a century against Gujarat Titans last season in Jaipur. That`s the kind of innings he needs to remember. Hopefully, he can extend those batting spells and spend more time in the middle. It is phenomenal to watch him take on the best bowlers in the league during the Powerplay,” the 38-year-old cricketer said on Star Sports.
Sooryavanshi is the fifth leading contender for the “Orange Cap” this season. So far in 10 matches for Rajasthan, the left-handed batsman has garnered 404 runs.
