After Vizag, Comic Con India to make its debut in Jalandhar this November

Comic Con India is all set to make its debut in Punjab this year with Jalandhar Comic Con, making it the second debut this year. It will take place on November 21 and 22 at Lovely Professional University (LPU). 

Earlier in August, NODWIN Gaming had announced that Comic Con will also be expanding to Vizag, and take place on October 10 and 11 at Kalam Convention Centre.

With its vibrant education ecosystem, large student community and strong youth culture, they say Jalandhar is home to a generation that is curious, expressive and eager to explore new experiences. The Comic Con will offer this young community a space to come together, celebrate their fandoms and express themselves freely. 

What can fans expect?

Fans can look forward to a packed weekend featuring comic and anime experiences, gaming zones, cosplay showcases, creator interactions, live music and performances, stand-up comedy, exclusive merchandise and immersive brand experiences. 

Speaking about bringing the experience to the city in Punjab, Shefali Johnson, CEO, Comic Con India, said, “Punjab has always had a larger-than-life way of expressing itself. From the poetry of Sufi saints like Bulleh Shah and Sultan Bahu to timeless tales such as Heer Ranjha, storytelling has always been deeply woven into the cultural identity of the state. That love for stories, expression and celebration resonates strongly with the spirit of Comic Con.”

Adding to Johnson, Akshat Rathee, who is the co-founder and managing director, NODWIN Gaming, shares his excitement saying, “Punjab has a natural energy that is hard to miss. From its vibrant folk traditions and high-energy music to its unmissable warmth towards its guests, there is a strong culture of coming together and celebrating what people love. Jalandhar reflects this spirit, as it hosts the world’s oldest festival of Hindustani classical music the Harballabh Sangeet Sammelan bringing people together around a shared love for music for generations. At its core, that spirit of community and self-expression is also what Comic Con is about, bringing people together around the fandoms they love and giving them a space to celebrate and express themselves.”

After hosting the event in Delhi and Bengaluru in December 2025, followed by its debut in Gurugram, and Pune in March, and returning to Mumbai in May, the Jalandhar edition marks another step in Comic Con India’s journey of taking fandom to new markets, bringing its unique celebration of pop culture to a vibrant young community beyond the traditional metros. 

The city offers an opportunity to connect with a young audience deeply engaged with gaming, music, anime and pop culture.
