At $4.4bn, Bengaluru tech funding this year nearly equals next 5 cities combined
In a striking development, Bengaluru’s tech startups garnered $4.4 billion in just the first nine months of 2026, nearly matching the total raised by the following five cities at $4.8 billion. Mumbai and Gurugram also benefitted from increased funding, contrasting sharply with Delhi’s significant decline. Despite fewer transactions, India’s overall funding soared to $10.3 billion, underscoring Bengaluru’s pivotal role in the national startup ecosystem.
