The IPL 2026 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) is scheduled to be played on Wednesday at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.
Ahead of the match, former Team India cricketer Sanjay Bangar feels that both teams have the potential to post 225 runs. He also added that the clash will be exciting to watch and is hopeful of former team Punjab emerging victorious.
“Both teams are capable of posting scores around 225 and have very similar combinations. Their top orders are in good form, supported by high-quality pace attacks, though both have shown some vulnerability in the middle overs,” he said on Star Sports.
“With both teams looking to bounce back after recent losses, it promises to be an exciting contest. Personally, I`m backing my former team, Punjab Kings,” added Bangar.
The home crowd will keep a tab on Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, and Heinrich Klaasen and will expect these batsmen to deliver big knocks tonight.
Currently, the Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings are enjoying the top spot with six wins and two losses. They have a net run rate (NRR) of +0.855 and 13 points.
On the other hand, the Sunrisers are placed in the third spot with six wins and four defeats. They also have a net run rate (NRR) of +0.644 and 12 points.
