Behind your beer: Breweries cut water use, recycle more
Bengaluru’s nearly 88 breweries are actively reducing their water footprint by implementing effluent treatment plants, wastewater recycling, and circular waste management. These establishments are improving water-to-beer ratios and reusing treated wastewater for non-product applications, while by-products like spent grain are repurposed. Despite significant investment, the industry is committed to sustainability and minimizing environmental impact.
