In the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 match against South Africa, Team India suffered a loss by six wickets at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Greater Manchester.
The “Women in Blue” will now lock horns with Bangladesh in their upcoming match. Ahead of the game, Team India’s pacer Kranti Gaud spoke about the challenges of being a fast bowler. She said her focus is to give her best and help Team India win matches.
“Being a fast bowler is not easy. Fast bowlers get injured very often. So, I have to take care of myself, play all the matches, and also help India win. In my mind, I always think that I must give my 100 per cent. Whatever ball I bowl, I try to give my best,” she said on JioStar.
She then said that other pacers in the team keep communicating with each other and also discuss the new deliveries that they are working on.
“We keep working on the new deliveries we are learning, but we focus more on our strengths, the deliveries that get us wickets. During the match, we keep talking to each other. We are fast bowlers and death bowlers, so we keep communicating. If one bowler is going for runs from one end, we tell her not to worry too much and try and keep communicating with her,” she added.
The clash against Bangladesh is scheduled to be played on June 25 at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Greater Manchester. After Bangladesh’s clash, the Harmanpreet Kaur-led Team India will clash against Australia.
