Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola said on Thursday that new signing Bradley Barcola is ready to make his English Premier League debut against Ipswich on Friday, ‘if everything goes well in training.’

Barcola, who won consecutive Champions League titles with PSG, became the second-most expensive signing in Liverpool’s history (£124mn; Rs 1172cr approx) and Iraola hopes his winner’s mentality can help the club contend for the title.

“It was our priority to sign a very good player in that position. And he has come also with the right mentality. Being the player that he is and the things that he has won recently, I think he will help us [improve].  I’m very happy with him.

If everything goes well, he will definitely be available [vs Ipswich],” said the Spanish coach, who has had a tough start to his tenure with two draws in his first two EPL games with the Reds.
