Legendary Team India batsman Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his 53rd birthday by cutting a cake outside his residence in Mumbai.
The former cricketer was accompanied by his wife, Anjali.

On the occasion of his birthday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) also shared a post on its official social media handle.

Former Team India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh also extended his wishes to Tendulkar. He shared a post on his official social media handle. “Happy Birthday Paaji sharing the field with you was an honour, but learning from you was even bigger. Your discipline, humility and love set the standard for all of us! Thank you for the memories and the inspiration you continue to be. Lots of love @sachin_rt,” wrote Yuvraj.

The incumbent chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), Jay Shah, also shared a post with the caption, “Wishing our sport`s icon @sachin_rt a very happy birthday. The batting coach of the Gujarat Titans (GT), Matthew Hayden, also extended birthday wishes to Tendulkar. The official social media handle of the Gujarat-based franchise shared a post in which Hayden was seen saying, “I have seen God. He used to bat at number four for India. Happy birthday, Sachin”.
Tendulkar concluded his international career with several records registered in his name. One of the top records is the 100 international centuries across all three formats of the game. He became the first and only player to achieve the feat in the sport`s history.
He also enjoys the top spot on the list of players to have played the most number of Test matches, which is 200. He also holds the record of the most runs scored by any player in international cricket.
Representing India in 664 matches, the former right-handed batsman registered 34,357 runs under his name.
