Delhi-NCR in a jam as DME stays shut for kanwar yatris
Traffic chaos reigned on NH-9 for a second consecutive day as the Delhi-Meerut Expressway remained off-limits, with only kanwariyas permitted entry. This restriction resulted in considerable frustration for the multitude of daily commuters. The police hinted at a possible reopening on Wednesday, contingent on the number of pilgrims. Furthermore, a lack of coordination exacerbated the congestion, significantly impacting travel between Ghaziabad, Noida, and Delhi.
