Pep Guardiola praised Jeremy Doku for keeping Manchester City in the English Premier League title race with a superb strike in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Brentford.
Doku ended Brentford’s resistance on the hour mark when he curled a fine finish in the top corner. It was his fourth goal in his last three games for City.

City’s failure to beat Everton on Monday took the destiny of the title race out of their hands, but Doku ensured they kept the pressure on leaders Arsenal. City are two points behind the Gunners, at the time of publishing.
“Doku is outstanding. [He] looks like the final product already. He always had this incredible ability to dribble. But now he is winning [us] games. I’m so pleased to have a guy that brings energy and can score goals,” said Guardiola, who added that the title is “not in our hands, but we’ll do our job and wait.”
