The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are all set to take on the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2026 match on April 24 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Ahead of the match, RCB`s skipper Rajat Patidar said that his team`s mindset is to dominate. He also added that the flexibility in his team`s batting lineup will be very important.
“Dominance is our mindset, but we don`t want to be rigid. We want to assess the situation and adapt. That flexibility is very important for us as a batting unit,” he said on the RCB podcast.
The skipper then spoke about the change in his batting by saying that he worked on imagining himself in different match situations.
“The biggest change in my batting has come from the mind. How I see the game, how I see myself in a situation, and how I want to dominate, everything started from there. I worked on a few trigger movements and discussed it with DK (Dinesh Karthik). Once I was convinced, I didn`t want to hold back in matches. That clarity helped me execute better,” added Patidar.
Currently, the Royal Challengers are in third position with four wins and two defeats. They have a net run rate (NRR) of +1.171 and eight points. On the other hand, the Titans are placed in the sixth position with three wins and the same number of defeats. With a net run rate (NRR) of -0.821, they have six points.
