ED finds 3 fake call centres targeting US nationals: How a web of calls and false pretexts induced Americans to make payments; around 220 people found working at centres in Patiala, Pune
Enforcement Directorate teams searched four premises in Patiala, Pune, and Chandigarh on September 15. Around 220 people were found working at three alleged fake call centres targeting US nationals. Investigators identified Harshal Raval and Ravi Rampi as the key accused in this operation. The agency seized 66 mobile phones and 13 laptops during the extensive searches. Further investigation is underway to trace the proceeds of crime and other involved individuals.
