A 45-year-old businessman, previously arrested in a high-profile extortion case, was found dead by suicide in a Bengaluru apartment. Vaishak Upadhyaya, who was staying in the rented flat belonging to actress Krishi Thapanda, reportedly sent her distress messages about ongoing disputes and personal issues. He had been experiencing marital problems and was out on bail following his earlier arrest. An unnatural death report has been filed.
