Fake drugs likely bypassed retail chain: Bengaluru chemists
A six-member SIT was formed to investigate a spurious drug racket in Bidadi. Pharmacists believe fake medicines likely reached patients through hospitals and online sellers. These critical care drugs are not typically found in retail pharmacies. Intermediaries around hospitals may supply counterfeit medicines to unsuspecting patients. Chemists are urging the FDA to increase inspections and enforce stricter regulations.
