Fake medicines in ICUs? Relabelled drugs supplied to Karnataka hospitals, pharmacies, says minister
A large fake drug racket was recently busted near Bidadi, Karnataka. Spurious medicines were allegedly sourced from Himachal Pradesh and Telangana. These drugs were then relabeled with multinational brand names for distribution. The government is considering forming a Special Investigation Team to probe this interstate racket. Authorities seized medicines and materials worth nearly five crore rupees.
