An IAS officer, Vikas Marmat, and his associates were booked for attacking police at a nightclub. The incident occurred when police checked for underage drinking on October 9. Vikas reacted angrily when asked for identification from young women present. After confronting police officers, the group was taken to a local police station. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has ordered a probe into the matter.
