Hollywood actor Tom Holland, who is best known for his role as Spider-Man, has revealed that Norway’s football star Erling Haaland ignored his offer to hang out when he reached out to him during the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix last month.

Holland, 29, sent a text message to Erling Haaland, 25, but never got a response. “Yes [I texted him], and I’ll tell you what. That is exactly the type of humbling experience that is important for actors,” Holland said on British TV host Jimmy Fallon’s talk show. “You’re like, ‘I’ll text him. I’ll take him to dinner.’ Not even a response. Not an excuse. Not, ‘I’m busy tonight, I’m playing football.’ Nada. And Haaland was like a hospitality suite across from me,” the British actor added.

Meanwhile, Haaland, who netted seven goals at this World Cup, was embarrassed on learning about the incident. “This is a bit embarrassing. I don’t watch movies much, so I have no idea who people are. I think I’ll have to send him a message now,” Haaland said on a Norwegian show earlier.
