High-flying Lens beat Nice 3-1 to win maiden French Cup title

Lens capped a spectacular season by winning the French Cup for the first time, with star striker Florian Thauvin scoring and making another in a 3-1 victory over Nice in the final on Friday.
Thauvin scored the opener (25th min) before Odsonne Edouard (41st min) doubled Lens’s lead. Djibril Coulibaly pulled one back just four minutes later for Nice, but Abdallah Sima restored Lens’s two-goal cushion in the 77th minute.
