Hyderabad home sales at over 4-year low, but still no correction in lofty rates

In early 2026, Hyderabad’s housing market witnessed a drastic drop in sales, even as average home prices surged. Developers responded by rolling out an unprecedented number of new properties, exacerbating the disparity between inventory and demand. Currently, the city grapples with over 1.4 lakh unsold homes, as industry experts point to a slowdown in NRI investments and increasing caution among local buyers as primary reasons for this trend.
