In the 1940s, Ohio built a 200-foot dam for a village; now, it’s restoring a 14-mile creek
Ohio’s Cloverlick Dam, built in the 1940s, is being removed to restore the natural flow of Cloverlick Creek. This restoration project aims to improve water quality and reconnect aquatic habitats that have been disrupted for decades. Removal of the dam is expected to create a safer environment for recreational activities like fishing and kayaking. Funding for the project is being provided by the H2Ohio Rivers Program and federal grants.
